Rise of Flight features:
- 125.000 square meters of France have been modeled, showing a multitude of towns, villages, roads, railways, waterways, and the vast no-man's land running like a scar through the centre - both in summer and winter variants;
- 20 Flyable scout planes, spanning from the start to the very end of the war; 8 of which are included with ROF:ICE, with the rest available for purchase at the ROF store. But all of them will fill the skies over France. Additionally, ROF features the Breguet 14.B2 and DFW C.5 two-seaters to either attack or protect, both with a nasty sting in their tail ;
- Fly the massive twin-engined Handley Page O/400 bomber, which is for purchase on the Rise of Flight store page. It also has three gunner positions, that can be manned by your friends when you play on the internet, even if they haven't purchased the bomber.
- Advanced flightmodels, proximating the reality of propeller driven flight like no combat flight simulator has done before; based on physics, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, chemistry and other factors, with thousands of parameters for each airplane including more than 100 for the engine alone;
- Progressive damage modeling where you can watch your wings slowly detach themselves from your aircraft depending on damage and g-forces applied to them;
- A large number of difficulty options to fit the game to your capabilities;
- An innovating quick mission generator, allowing you to change many options to set up an endless variety of flights with up to 30 aircraft in the sky at one time;
- A dynamic career mode awarding your progress with medals and awards depending on your success;
- Three linear campaigns: flight training, the Hat in the Ring campaign and the "Du Doch Nicht" campaign about Ernst Udet;
- Different multiplayer modes including Coop, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag that allow a multiplayer game to be as arcade or as realistic as you could want it;
- Host your own game, or join a dedicated server with up to 64 players online and flying at a time;
- A mission editor that gives you all the power creating missions the developers have;
- Many interactive ground units: including trucks, tanks, trains, ships, artillery, stationary machineguns and anti-aircraft guns, as well as reconnaissance balloons;
- A WWI flying experience the likes of which you've never seen before!

graphics:
- High-poly 3D models of the airplanes, and detailed and animated cockpits with high resolution textures;
- Dynamic lighting and shadows: see the sun casting shadows onto your plane and the light go through bulletholes as you are hit. Fires, flares and vehicle headlights all light up the environment and your airplane dynamically;
- Cloud shadows that move with the clouds as they drift in the wind. Fly under them and see what it does to your plane!
- Parallax mapping applied to the ground textures, giving the ground a realistic reliƫf as you get close to it. Also specular and bump mapping is being used;
- True reflections on metal and shiny surfaces as well as on water, and diffuse lighting from the environment (sky, land, water) being reflected;
- HDR lighting, bloom effects and options to change contrast and gamma settings;
- Different visual effects for being wounded, flying through the rain or through clouds, g-forces and depth of field.

In the works:
- New planes. Rumors say the Halberstadt CL.II and/or the Spad VII
- Chat lobbies and inter-server chatting (unknown).
"Upcoming features" and "in the works" have been announced by 777 studios, but their planned release date is not final and may deviate from the above, as well as their actual release not being certain.
